Best AI Coloring Page Generators in 2026: An Honest Comparison

2026/09/30

The best AI coloring page generator depends on what you are making: ColorBliss or iColoring for quick pages from a text prompt; Canva or iColoring for free photo conversion; ColorBliss or Colorify AI for name pages; MyColoring.ai for Amazon KDP books on a small budget, because among the dedicated coloring tools compared here it has the smallest first payment that includes commercial rights ($9.99 for a monthly plan or $13.99 for a one-time pack); and ChatGPT or Gemini if you already pay for a general AI assistant and don't mind re-prompting.

Disclosure: MyColoring.ai is our product. We include it in this list and mark it “This is ours.” We wrote the same "Where it stops" section for it as for every other tool.

We compared seven tools whose features and prices we could confirm on their official websites: three dedicated coloring page tools, Canva, two general AI assistants, and our own. Every fact below links to the tool's own page. Last verified: October 2, 2026. Prices are shown in USD as displayed to US visitors and can change, so check the pricing page before you buy. To compare like with like, we quote monthly-billing prices; where we could confirm only an annual price, we give the yearly price and its monthly equivalent.

ColorBliss

ColorBliss is one of the most complete dedicated tools. You can "type a prompt or upload a photo," start from "a rough drawing," or make pages with "words, names, and numbers." Downloads are "PNG or PDF at 300 DPI," and its coloring book generator can "generate up to 50 pages at once" and export "a print-ready PDF file."

Pricing (colorbliss.com/pricing), billed monthly: Starter $9/month (250 credits/month), Hobby $18/month (500 credits), Artist $35/month (1,000 credits), and Business $99/month (5,000 credits). Billed annually, the same plans are $84, $149, $297, and $997 per year (about $7, $12, $25, and $83 per month). Credit packs expire six months after purchase.

Where it stops: ColorBliss says Starter and Hobby "are for personal use"; commercial use, "No watermark," and bulk generation are listed only on the Artist and Business plans, so selling pages starts at $35/month on monthly billing ($297/year on annual billing). Photo conversion is not included on Starter.

Canva

Canva's AI coloring page generator turns "an uploaded image into clean, printable, black-and-white line art" and lets you download "as a PDF or PNG." Canva says the tool "is free to use," and you can lay out several pages in the Canva editor and "export the whole book as a print-ready PDF."

Pricing (canva.com/pricing): Free, or Pro at US$144/year for one person (about $12/month); we could confirm the annual price; check the pricing page for the monthly price. The Free plan includes "up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses."

Commercial use: Canva's AI Product Terms say you own your output, "except for any Output that modifies or incorporates Licensed Content," and may use it "for any lawful purpose." The coloring page itself advises you to "review Canva's Content License Agreement before you sell or publish," and notes that similar prompts can give similar pages, "so your results aren't exclusive."

Where it stops: Canva is a general design tool. AI uses are capped on the Free plan, and there is no dedicated bulk generator for coloring pages ("Design in bulk" is a separate Pro feature).

iColoring

iColoring lets you "upload a photo or text" and download "high-resolution PNG and PDF files for free," "without watermarks," with "no sign-up required." It also has an AI Coloring Book Generator focused on "character-consistent" pages and a Bulk Generator that accepts "up to 20 images at once" (PNG, JPG, or WEBP up to 10MB each).

Pricing (icoloring.ai/pricing), monthly: Starter $9.99 (300 credits), Hobby $19.99 (800 credits), Artist $39.99 (1,800 credits), and Business $99.99 (6,000 credits). Starter is $7.99/month when billed yearly ($95.88/year).

Where it stops: commercial use is shown only on the Artist and Business plans, so selling pages starts at $39.99/month on monthly billing ($27.99/month billed yearly). The pricing page also says "upgrading or downgrading your subscription plan is not supported."

Colorify AI

Colorify AI converts text prompts and uploaded images into coloring pages and has a name coloring page generator. Downloads are "PNG or PDF," and your history is saved "for up to 1 day." The first try needs no login; you log in "to claim your free credits" and get watermark-free downloads. The pricing page lists 4K output (the site says A4 prints exceed 480 DPI), batch generation, and a coloring book generator.

Pricing: Basic $9.9/month (250 credits), Plus $29.9/month (900 credits), and Pro $69.9/month (2,500 credits), or $99, $299, and $699 per year. One-time packs are 350 credits for $20 and 1,000 credits for $50. One page costs one credit.

Where it stops: free and Basic are for personal use only; commercial rights start with Plus at $29.9/month on monthly billing ($299/year on annual billing). One-time credits "do not grant access to the features in the subscription plans," and Colorify says it does not offer refunds once any credits are used. It does not publish a batch size limit.

Google Gemini

Gemini makes images with Nano Banana 2 and can build a new image from one or more photos you upload (Gemini image help). You can download images "at 2K resolution with a Google AI plan or at 1K without an AI plan." Usage limits refresh every 5 hours up to a weekly limit, with higher limits on paid plans.

Pricing (gemini.google/subscriptions): Free, Google AI Plus at $4.99/month, and Google AI Pro at $19.99/month. Google's Terms of Service say "Google won't claim ownership" over content you generate. A visible watermark can be turned off in settings (in India, South Korea, and Vietnam only with AI Ultra), but that setting does not affect SynthID watermarks (watermark help).

Where it stops: Gemini is a general assistant, not a coloring tool. Google does not document a download file format, PDF export, coloring book, or batch mode, so you control line thickness and shading through your prompt.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT can draw coloring pages from a prompt or an uploaded photo, and OpenAI says image creation is available on all tiers. Pricing: Free with "limited image creation," plus paid Go, Plus, and Pro plans; we could not confirm the current US prices on that page, so check it for today's prices. OpenAI says you own the output and can sell it "regardless of whether output was generated through a free or paid plan" (OpenAI help).

Where it stops: OpenAI does not publish the download file format, the free-plan image limit, or a batch mode for the ChatGPT app, and OpenAI's official image help page does not list a one-click export to a print-ready coloring book PDF. If a page comes out with gray fills or thin lines, add "no shading, no gray tones" and "thick, bold outlines" to your prompt and regenerate. Our article Can ChatGPT make coloring pages? has prompt fixes.

MyColoring.ai (This is ours)

MyColoring.ai is the tool we build, focused only on printable coloring pages. It includes a text-to-coloring-page generator, a photo to coloring page converter, a name coloring page generator, photo to sketch, an AI coloring book maker, batch coloring pages, and online coloring in the browser.

What MyColoring.ai offers today:

  • MyColoring.ai charges 2 credits for a 1K page, 4 credits for 2K, and 6 credits for 4K, and makes up to 4 images per generation.
  • MyColoring.ai coloring books have 3, 5, 10, 20, or 40 interior pages plus a color cover, at 2 credits per page; a book with 40 interior pages plus the cover costs 82 credits (characters cost extra).
  • MyColoring.ai batch mode takes up to 50 items per batch for signed-in users, with photos up to 10 MB each.
  • Downloads are PNG or PDF with no watermark, up to 4K.

Pricing (pricing):

  • MyColoring.ai monthly plans: Starter $9.99 (200 credits), Standard $19.99 (500 credits), Premium $39.99 (1500 credits).
  • MyColoring.ai yearly plans work out to $6.49, $11.99, or $21.99 per month.
  • MyColoring.ai one-time packs: $13.99 (200 credits), $23.99 (500 credits), $43.99 (1500 credits), valid for one year.
  • MyColoring.ai free use: current trial and sign-up offers are shown on its pricing page, plus up to 18 credits per week from the daily check-in.

Commercial use: every paid plan, including one-time packs, allows commercial use, including Amazon KDP and Etsy. Free use is limited to personal and classroom projects. Commercial rights do not cover third-party characters or brands.

Where it stops:

  • There is no native iOS or Android app; you use the website in a mobile browser.
  • SVG export is not available yet (coming soon); files are PNG and PDF.
  • A coloring book is capped at 40 interior pages plus the cover.
  • Free creations may appear in the public gallery; private generation is for paid plans only.
  • We do not print books or upload them to Amazon KDP, and the cover is a front illustration, not a full wrap with spine and back.
  • A content filter blocks NSFW requests.

If you publish on KDP, our step-by-step KDP coloring book guide covers trim sizes, bleed, and AI disclosure.

How to choose

  • Parents and teachers making a few pages: start with a free option (Canva or iColoring for photos, ChatGPT or Gemini for text prompts, or our free trial). For photo projects, see how to turn a photo into a coloring page.
  • Sellers: check what the terms allow at the price you pay, not just the cheapest plan. ChatGPT and Canva say you own your output even on free plans (Canva excludes its licensed content), while Colorify AI, ColorBliss, and iColoring require plans that cost $29.9, $35, and $39.99 per month on monthly billing.
  • Sellers who want a dedicated tool: MyColoring.ai includes commercial use on its $9.99 monthly plan and on its $13.99 one-time credit pack.
  • Book makers: check how many pages you can generate at once, whether characters stay consistent, and whether the export is a print-ready PDF.
  • Heavy users: compare credits per page, not just credits per plan, because each tool prices pages differently.

Whichever tool you pick, print a test page before you commit to a full set. Screen previews hide gray shading and thin lines that show up on paper.

We plan to re-check every fact in this comparison each quarter. Last verified: October 2, 2026.

常见问题

What is the best free AI coloring page generator?

For free photo conversion, Canva says its AI coloring page generator is free to use, and iColoring offers free PNG and PDF downloads without sign-up or watermarks. For text prompts, ChatGPT and Gemini work on their free plans with usage limits, and MyColoring.ai offers a free trial plus daily check-in credits for personal and classroom use.

Can I sell AI-generated coloring pages?

It depends on the tool's terms. ChatGPT and Canva say you own your output (Canva excludes output that incorporates its licensed content) and Google says it won't claim ownership of Gemini images, while ColorBliss, iColoring, and Colorify AI allow commercial use only on higher-tier plans. MyColoring.ai allows commercial use, including Amazon KDP and Etsy, on every paid plan and one-time credit pack.

Which AI coloring page generator is best for Amazon KDP?

Look for three things: commercial rights on the plan you can afford, a way to make many consistent pages, and print-ready PNG or PDF files. ColorBliss, iColoring, Colorify AI, and MyColoring.ai all have coloring book generators; they differ mainly in which plan unlocks commercial use and how many pages you can make at once.

Can AI turn a photo into a coloring page?

Yes. Canva, ColorBliss (from its Hobby plan), iColoring, Colorify AI, and MyColoring.ai all convert an uploaded photo into black-and-white line art, and ChatGPT and Gemini can do it with a prompt. Clear, well-lit photos with a simple background give the cleanest outlines.
